FIELD COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION SYSTEM

The Field Communication and Information System (FCIS) is a wide range, autonomous system for tactical application. It provides telecommunication and information services and represents a multinational system for carrying out encrypted digital data for command and management of the planned special military operations. The system provides, in time, reliable and correct information necessary for the effective control of the army units. This is achieved by using a sophisticated communication and information technologies at any time, in any type of battlefield operations and under the conditions of use of modern weapons and ECCM. The FCIS components allow its quick deployment, expansion and structural changes in conformity with the respective conditions. The system operates both as an autonomous configuration and in interoperation with other similar mobile military systems during joint exercises, or if necessary, with civilian communication systems. The FCIS is a basic system, which could be built in conformity with the specified technical requirements of the customer, as it could be upgraded in the future. The FCIS is composed of two related subsystems – a communication subsystem and an information subsystem. The communication subsystem provides, in time, highly accurate and hidden transfer, collection, storage, processing and distribution of all types of information for the control of the armed forces and weapons under various conditions and in various regions.
